Meet the Librarian
KAREN BURT-LIBRARY MEDIA SPECIALIST
Hi! My name is Karen Burt and I am the librarian at Amy Parks-Heath. This is my ninth year at Amy Parks and my 26th year in education. I love books and technology and am blessed to be able to share that with students. This is my 12th year as a librarian and I love the fact that I get to see every student in the school! When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, David, and two adult daughters, Kimberly and Megan.
I received my bachelors in Elementary Education with a specialization in Reading from East Texas State University and my Masters in Library Science from North Texas. I love reading, kids and teaching and I believe that the library is the heart of the school. I look forward to a fun-filled year.
